The Adoption Process

We’ve designed our adoption process to ensure a great fit between each dog and their future family. Here’s what to expect:

1. Meet the Dogs
   Visit our sanctuary to meet our available dogs. Each one has a unique personality and story—some may be shy, others playful, and some may need special attention. Our staff is here to guide you and introduce you to dogs that suit your lifestyle and experience.

2. Adoption Application
   If you find a dog you connect with, you’ll complete an adoption application. This helps us learn more about your living situation, experience with pets, and expectations for a companion.

3. Home Visit or Interview
   Depending on your location and the needs of the dog, we may conduct a home visit or an in-depth interview. This ensures the environment is safe, loving, and well-prepared for your new furry friend.

4. Meet-and-Greet Sessions
   We may schedule one or more meet-and-greet sessions to observe the interaction between you and the dog. If you already have pets, we’ll help arrange a safe introduction.

5. Finalizing the Adoption
   Once approved, you’ll complete the adoption agreement, pay a modest adoption fee (which helps cover medical care and supplies), and then bring your new companion home!
